Why foster?

Fostering is an enormously rewarding experience that allows you to make a profound difference in the life of an animal in need, without the long-term care and financial commitment of adoption.  If you want to be of great service to an animal, but you aren’t able to make a life-long commitment, fostering could be the perfect fit. As the bridge between the difficult circumstances an animal is coming from, and the healthy, happy life they’re moving toward in their forever home – you, as a foster, play a key role in your foster baby’s life. You help them transition by providing love and care while they wait for the right match for adoption; and you get to enjoy the significant benefits of companionship with your foster fur baby in the meantime! The gratitude a foster animal can show you is unparalleled, and the experience of offering an animal the opportunity to live a new life is both meaningful and deeply fulfilling. Fostering frees up space in shelters – and since shelters can only take in as many animals as they have capacity and resources for, fostering is necessary to keep rescue work moving forward. Fostering saves lives!
